VMS TMT Debuts with 6% Premium, Then Trades Lower on Indian Exchanges
VMS TMT Limited's market debut showcased initial investor enthusiasm followed by profit-taking. The steel manufacturer listed at ₹104.90 on NSE and ₹105 on BSE—a 6% premium to its ₹99 issue price—before retreating to ₹100.98 within the first hour. Trading volumes exceeded 41 lakh shares worth ₹42.53 crore in the opening half-hour.
The IPO's 102-times oversubscription revealed particularly strong demand from non-institutional investors (227x) and QIBs (120.8x). With ₹148.5 crore raised through fresh equity, the company's market cap now stands at ₹500.78 crore. Arihant Capital managed the offering under BSE's restrictive 'T' Group classification.
